After the jury returned a verdict finding no negligence on the part of a restaurant in the appellants action for damages for a slip and fall, the appellant sought a new trial. She claimed that the verdict was against the manifest weight of the evidence. The trial court denied the motion. Because the uncontroverted evidence shows at least some negligence on the part of the restaurant, we conclude that the trial court abused its discretion in denying the motion and reverse.
